Venturing out into the world and seeing all the beauty is something I live for. But for me, I think doing it solo makes it even more enjoyable. I like to think of them as my "adventures in solitude."
I've gone through many phases where the introvert in me decides to shine bright and it eventually leads to spending a lot of time by myself. But during that time, I was okay with it. I wasn't scared to be alone or to do anything alone. As a matter of fact, I've learned to become my own best friend.
When you spend time by yourself, you get the chance to recharge. Being surrounded by people really drains you mentally and physically. Don't get me wrong, I love hanging out with people and connecting with them but after an hour or so, I just want to go home and binge watch "Rupaul's Drag Race" for like 6 hours.
Being alone is way more liberating than you think! You're free to do whatever you want at anytime! I woke up on a random Sunday at 5 a.m. and was thinking "You know what would be fun? Driving to the beach and watching the sunrise." That's exactly what I did. I love the drive there and listening to my favorite music, I love exploring out on the beach. What I came to realize was that you learn about what you like and don't like. You'll uncover so much!
At the end of all of this, your happiness is what matters the most! Embrace the solitude! You'll do everything you enjoy and won't feel like you need validation from anyone! It sounds crazy saying that you're your own best friend, but hey, who's to judge. Be your own cheerleader and then you'll be your own best friend. So give it a go! :)
